Senior SharePoint Developer (Active Secret Required)

About the role
Our client is seeking a Senior SharePoint Developer to design, build, and enhance SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365/O365 applications supporting a federal client with a global footprint. In this role, you’ll deliver customer-facing solutions end-to-end—from requirements through deployment and maintenance—working closely with business analysts and end users across operations, security, data management, and program management.
Location & Clearance Requirements
- Work location: Washington, DC (full on-site, 5 days/week)
- Local eligibility: Must be able to commute daily to the DC worksite
- Security clearance: Active Secret clearance required
- Relocation: Not offered

What you’ll do
- Develop new customer-facing applications and features using SharePoint (Online and related Microsoft platforms)
- Maintain and enhance existing SharePoint applications and features
- Partner with business analysts and end users to elicit, analyze, and clarify requirements
- Translate business and security needs into technical requirements and implementation plans
- Produce and update technical documentation (designs, status reporting, and related artifacts)
- Learn and adopt new tools/approaches as the environment evolves
- Support other duties as needed
Must-have qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance
- 12+ years of proven software design and development experience
- 7+ years developing with SharePoint 2016/2019, SharePoint Online, SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and related Microsoft applications
- Strong experience with SharePoint, Power Platform, Modern Pages, SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio
- Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, APIs, XML, CSOM/JSON, AJAX, IIS
- Experience with source control such as TFS or GitHub
- Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to collaborate across all levels
Nice-to-have qualifications
- Microsoft PL-400 (Power Platform Developer Associate)
- Microsoft Dynamics experience
- Development experience in Azure environments
- PowerShell
- Data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Additional languages and testing tools (e.g., Python, C#, C++, automated testing)
Compensation & benefits
Pay range: $130,000–$140,000 (guideline; final offer considers multiple factors, including experience, skills, internal equity, and market alignment).
